Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data jj-cooper.com (“we”, “us”) collects, why, and what your rights are. Data controller: JJ Cooper. Contact: jasper@jj-cooper.com.

What we collect

Free audio & email list: your first name, last name, email address, and the source you signed up from. We use double opt-in — you're only added to the list after clicking the confirmation link we email you.

1:1 coaching applications:your name, email, phone number, where you live, how long you've been trading, whether you trade prop firm accounts, your current and desired monthly income bands, and anything you write in the optional message. We ask for this so we can assess your application and, if it qualifies, contact you to book a qualification call.

Trading Room membership: payment and membership status are handled by Whop; we receive membership events (joined, cancelled) linked to your email.

How we use it

To deliver the audio and emails you asked for; to review and respond to your application; to keep our own customer records; to send service emails (such as email verification and delivery links); and to meet legal obligations. Legal bases under UK GDPR: your consent (marketing emails), our legitimate interests (responding to applications, maintaining customer records), and contract (paid memberships and purchases).

Who processes it

Supabase (our database, hosted in the EU — Ireland), Vercel (website hosting), Resend (service emails), Kit (marketing email delivery), and — if you join The Trading Room — Whop and Discord. If you message us on Instagram, Meta and ManyChat process that conversation. Each processes data under their own agreements with us. We do not sell your data, ever.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, stored with a provider using encryption at rest, and accessible only to authorised users through individually authenticated, role-restricted accounts. Administrative actions on our records are logged.

Retention

We keep your data while you're on the list, an applicant, or a member, and for a reasonable period afterwards. Unsubscribing stops all marketing email immediately. You can have your data erased entirely at any time — see your rights below.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Email jasper@jj-cooper.comand we'll action it — erasure removes you from our records and our email platform. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies & local storage

This site sets no advertising cookies. A session cookie is used only for authorised staff signing in to our internal system. Your browser's local storage may remember details you've already given us (like your name and email) so you don't have to retype them — that stays on your device and you can clear it in your browser at any time. Basic, anonymised analytics may be used to understand traffic.

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date.
